A friend of mine just sent me these new screenshots from AC:3DS, released just a few minutes ago.

Kicks seems to be making a reappearance with shoes, and there’s some kind of new llama character dealing with furniture.

I TOLD YOU GUYS HE KNOWS
GOD WHAT AN ASSHOLE

Because everyone’s asking when AC3DS comes out:

Guys, I have good news and bad news

The good news is my cat somehow knows when AC3DS is being released

The bad news is, being a cat, he’s a moody asshole so he won’t tell me the date

He just meows when I ask, what the fuck is that supposed to mean

Animal Crossing 3DS (Details)
The Official Nintendo Magazine has gushed out a bunch of Animal Crossing 3DS details, we still are not in knowing of when it is being released but rest assured it will be sometime this year:
Add benches, street lamps, and more to make the villagers happier
Secretary will help you out
The secretary is a new character in the Animal Crossing series
Secretary looks somewhat like a dog, is clumsy
“chatting with her may be one of the game’s highlights”
Secretary walks around with a clipboard sometimes
She’ll point out town areas that look good or may need work
Design every aspect of your house; even the design of the mailbox and type of color fencing
Redesign the inside, too
Can still buy/place/arrange furniture
Not limited to particular furniture designs
Take your furniture to a special upholsterer shop to have it recolored and redesigned
Separate top and bottom outfit designs
Layout of the village is “said to be a lot bigger this time than ever with many separate sections”
Beach is a larger area that you walk down a cliffside path rather than just being a patch of sand
Swim in the sea, walk barefoot across the sand
Check the railroad and see what’s beyond them
You’ll find The Mall past the rail tracks that has tons of shops and model homes
The model homes are empty, but they’ll give you an area of how you can style your own home
Each time you walk pass someone with StreetPass enabled, their own house will be added to the collection of model homes
Tom Nook is in charge of the model homes
Mystery island found near the beach

rorokins asked:
So I don't know if you've heard yet, but ONM (a UK Nintendo magazine) did an article on the new game, and in it they talk about the new layout. There'll be the regular main town (which is animal homes, your home etc) then across the train tracks there is a "mall" area, where there are a ton of new shops to cater to all your needs. Finally, there will be a section for "model homes", where you can look at the homes of people you pass via Spotpass. Tom Nook serves as an estate agent here.

I knew about most of this except the model homes. Thanks for the info!

Anonymous asked:
Also to end the stream (and because I adore my 3DS), do you have a 3DS? If not, do you plan on getting one for the game?

This has been answered too, but not for a while, so I might as well answer it again:

Hayley does, but if I even bought it, it’d only be for Animal Crossing because I have so many DS games already piling up that I never play. So I don’t plan on buying it.

Animal Crossing 3DS Trailer Shows Customization

The 3DS version will include the ability to become the head of the village and boost its development, says Nintendo, a way to install certain items in the village to make its characteristics more personalized for each player and the ability to view homes of other players who are tagged through StreetPass connections.

Customization is a big part of the Animal Crossing 3DS, so players will start the game in a tent and then work their way up to a house, which they can customize. Characters can also be outfitted with new gear along the way, so there’s more than enough of an incentive to get some cash in the bank.

E3 trailer for Animal Crossing 3DS. Apparently, the big E3 megaton is you can swim in this game! You can also now hang stuff on walls, buy new house designs, and move around while using the net. Everything’s changed, folks. The Animal Crossing you knew from years ago is dead.

Whenever I watch this, I imagine Bunnie’s voice as Lumpy Space Princess’: “Well, whatever. We’re all here now. Let’s get chatting! Draaaaama bomb!”
